The calm in the absence of problem is lost
in problem. To regain it while in the problem enriches the
calm and makes it fuller.
The moveless Brahman which lost its wholeness
in movement regaining it, in movement is the richer, higher
truer , fullness of the Brahman. This is possible only through
SURRENDER , which is the DELIGHT the Brahman seeks. This pride
and arrogance of Mind changing into Divine Compassion through
the Psychic Being is TRANSFORMATION. The condition for it
are TRUTH, SATYAM, the instrument is SURRENDER. More than
200 points about CONSECRATION & SURRENDER , both in English
and Tamil are discussed in this book.
Point no.200- To let HER
(The Mother) do what we can do is, to let HER do
it better and it is Consecration.
Point no. 23 Surrender completes the positive
, convert the negative , achieves the fullness at once.
Prarthanai means Prayer and Samarpanam means Consecration.
When SriAurobindo was asked “What is the difference
between Prayer, Devotion, Consecration and Surrender
?”, Bhagwan replied, “There is no difference”.
When we asked the Divine to fulfil our need it is
Prayer, when we accept whatever the Divine gives us, it is
Consecration.
Before giving everything to the Divine,
there are 8 stages to be crossed. (1) Faith (2)Adoration
(3)Love (4)Worship (5)Selfgiving(6)Ecstacy (7)Obedience (8)Delight
(9)Surrender. In PURNAYOGA , the beginning stage
is prayer and the final stage is Consecration and Surrender.
In a prayer Man is fulfilling his desires but in Consecration
he is fulfilling the desire of the Divine on Earth i.e he
completes the purpose for which he was the brought on to the
Earth. The book discusses in detail on the above subject.
The human nature (Swabhavam) to be transformed into Divine
Nature is Purnayoga. Sincerity, Opening, Receptivity are important
concepts of Mother, which make one progress on the path of
yoga. Sincerity in ordinary parlance means to speak the Truth,
but Mother differs here. “Who am I ? “ , “What
I think ?” , “What I speak? “, “Do
I speak what I think ?”, “Do I have knowledge
of what to think ?” , “Are my thoughts always
Good?”, “How my thoughts should be?” , “Have
the knowledge to think what is right?”. The clarity
with which the above questions to be answered is Sincerity.
The book discusses in detail how with the help of Mother’s
Supramental Force one can come to this Sincerity from the
Phoney Behaviours which we have been coveting all along to
please the society.

In ,
Life Divine principles are discussed as a scale based on which
human being can go up in the level of consciousness, thereby
carrying his life up in the ladder from an ordinary life to
a higher life. For ex. One main principle of Life Divine is
“Contradictions are Complementary”. Bhagwan SriAurobindo
says that there is no contradiction at all in human life and
every thing is only complemantary . But in ordinary human
life we see only contradictions. Every event in life if it
could be seen from the other persons point of view or understood
from other persons point of view it will become complementary.
This is possible only when one can come out of his egoistic
consciousness. When a person is not able to see an event as
complementary that would be the SCALE , where he has to change
his mental attitude to make the situation complementary. Part
1 of the book deals with such principles of Life Divine.
Aparimithamana
Selvam is in the form of dialogue between a Mother
Devotee and his friend discussing how money came into origin,
how it has gained importance in man’s life over a period
of time, in the latter stages money has been converted to
services, time, technology and Values. The concept that money
should be in the form of bank balance jewellery has lost its
identity. Now values like Punctuality, Honesty, Perfection
, Goodwill etc is is money. This part of the book discusses
this New Concept of The Mother in detail .
Rishigal Kanda Brahmam discusses first 60 pages of
UPANISHAD . In this part of the book the stages in evolution
, the level upto which the Rishis in ancient India have reached
in the Tapas, the Brahman which they discovered and the Brahman
discovered by SriAurobindo in His Purnayoga is differenciated
clearly by the author. The Rishis saw the Brahman in Dhyana,
which they were not able to express in words once they came
out of the Dhyana, whereus the Brahman which Bhagwan SriAurobindo
witnessed was when He was absolutely awake and that is the
reason He was clearly able to define the stages of The Absolute
or The Brahman in creation. See the chart below:
